We raised at least one generation of kids to get some thing just for participation. That you “win” or get some thing just by being a member of the group.
And now we wonder, why so many young people believe that they should receive income, just by being in a group. That everyone should gain income, just for being part of the workforce Also known as Socialism.
In other words, in order to get a certificate, or a ribbon, or even a little cap, they only had to be in the group. They did not necessarily have to excel. They did not necessarily have to try harder, practice, more, or stand out.
Like some of the top earning and hardest working capitalists.
So, even as kids, they “participated” in the spoils of victory, and on the backs of the kids who performed the best.
